Dr. Elnour Hamad is a distinguished thinker, author, and political analyst with a profound impact on the discourse surrounding Sudan’s history, culture, and politics.

As an author and editor, he has contributed several influential books in Arabic, delving into the intricate layers of Sudanese society and its political landscape. His insightful commentary on Sudan’s political issues has been featured on numerous Arabic TV channels.

Dr. Hamad is also a prolific writer, with hundreds of articles addressing the political and cultural challenges facing Sudan.

His academic journey is marked by prestigious qualifications, including a Doctorate in Art Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s in Art Education from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.

In addition to his writing and commentary, Dr. Hamad served as a researcher and managing editor of Siyasat Arabia, a peer-reviewed journal on Middle Eastern politics at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Doha, Qatar. His academic career includes roles as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Art Education at Qatar University, as well as Assistant Professor positions at Mansfield University, Mansfield, Pennsylvania, and Eastern Washington University, Cheney, Washington.

Dr. Hamad’s expertise extends beyond academia. He has served as a host nation liaison, linguist, and cultural advisor to the commander of the US Air Force in Saudi Arabia and for the United Air Force OSI unit in Kuwait.

Through his previous and current diverse roles as a thinker, educator, researcher, writer, and advisor, Dr. Hamad continues to influence and inspire, championing the cause of democracy and cultural understanding in Sudan and beyond.
